“ Great atmosphere. The staff are really nice - Ashley was bartending the first night I went. Great attitude and swift service. The Brisket DIp is so good. Got it twice :) ”
“ We sat outside in the covered patio and there was a live band. The food was really good - loved the chicken wings with the white tiger sauce. Loved the mac & cheese too. The server was really nice. Cute place on bay st right by the water ”
“ Perfect day for BBQ on the bay ! Our server "Stephanie" rocked ! She was attentive and provided insight on lunch menu offerings! ”
“ What is the best thing about Q on Bay? Almost everything! The view from the back porch of the immaculate landscaped Flora that fills the tranquil park, which then leads your eyes to the tightly compacted and trimmed low hedges, revealing the column supports with only a single 4x4 header supporting the wide, inviting "sit on me now!" porch swing with its unobstructed view over looking the seashell encased concrete walk way with smiling visitors and locals talking, swinging peacefully together, and some people happily walking their dogs, while a few even allowing young children pet their friendly house mates while all are looking out over our pristine river and marsh beyond which is caressed by the Sun light in the day, and fire casting, vibrant colors, with its sedate, breath-taking vistas as the waning evening light gives way to the pitch black of night! This, not to be missed view is available for the very reasonably price of a meal at Q on Bay! This deeply cathartic, nerve quieting experience which I would suggest is powerful and is best slowly engulfed emotionally as you lower your blood pressure to 100/50. Yes Sireee, it is that incredible a view which my best attempts to describe pale in compassion to the actual live experience. Ok, but it is a restaurant, not a retreat. Oh, contre Monime! We live in a daily World of very aggressive physical hustle and Olympic Champion class mental gymnastics which cause some of us emotional mood swings the size and scale of the Grand Canyon at times. Our lives require, nae demands, your total focus, and all of your energy at all points in time in the Worlds most productive economy! Yes, it is a restaurant, however that view in minutes, if you look, relax, and drink in all the plethora of natural beauty in front of you can save you from having to take so many prescribed medications just to keep up! In my opinion, calm, cool, and at peace is the first order of eating to let the enticing food scents over take your nose, to get your taste buds salivating for the rich and savory, pungent, taste sensation your buds are about to engage which is what most of us want as we hope to take the "E" ride of tastes. Trust me when I declare while you are enthralled by this wonderful Metaphysical, open, inviting state, Q on Bay will provide the delicious food to help you completely enjoy a terrific dinning experience. All you have to do is sit back and take the ride. For example, try their often over looked smoked Q Ban pork loin sandwich which is a taste sensation especially with a glass of red wine or a draft lager beer. Likewise their ribs or Brisket tacos are not to be missed. Don't want to choose? Try the Barnyard and get it all, plus some scrumptious pulled chicken! If you enjoy Tea, might I be so bold to suggest an 85% unsweetened tea with 15% sweet tea in combination. I make this suggestion because I feel strongly the sugar in the tea can overpower and distort the delectable taste of the pulled pork, and chicken, but especially the smoked ribs and brisket which are your main gastronomic want. Try it, I believe you will like it very much. Now to the possible fly in our otherwise prescribed natural ointment to soothe your soul! The Servers in our experience are polite, efficient, and can be personable in the main, but not always. Eight out of ten times they are hard working wonderful people who provide a enhanced dining experience at Q on Bay. However, two out of ten times, they do not, and we have eaten here many times over our almost 20 years here in our beloved "Low Country" dating all the way back to when Q on Bay was Catherine's. So that is why the missing star in my rating at the top of this review. However, to give credit were positive credit is due. Q on Bay's management has parted ways with some of their former Servers, and some of the Servers have taken the same path of action in their relationship with Q on Bay, Overall, we agree that Q on Bay does offer some very good "Low Country" food treats that some of us with what we like to feel are discerning palates, enjoy! We feel you will too. So why pass by when you can give Q on the Bay a try and maybe find a new restaurant with which you feel the desire to return to again? Enjoy ”
“ I got the brisket tacos . I got a side of BBQ sauce which really made the tacos. I also got a side salad which was tasty. The prices were really reasonable. The service was slow but the waiter had a ton of tables and was trying his best. ”
“ Nice place for a BBQ lunch. We sat on the back patio, which is covered so good for very hot sunny days or rainy days. The patio overlooks the public park and the ICW beyond. Very nice setting. They have 29 beers on tap, but you have to walk over to the bar area to see what they have. A beer menu would be nice. Our server was attentive and nice even though she was very busy. We split The Barnyard entree, which included a sampling of everything; brisket, ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken and 2 sides. For the sides we had their yummy Mac & Cheese and their Hash over Rice. All for $20! There was plenty for the two of us and I would order it all again. We will come back here the next time we are passing through this wonderful town. ”
